Imperial Fists Sicaran Arcus: Reinforcements for the VIIth LEgion

 

Targeting Traitors everywhere

The latest addition to the Imperial Fists is a Sicaran Arcus, brought in with the explicit intention of targeting the Iron Warriors' Tyrant Siege Terminators.  I hate painting lascannons, but apart from that this was a joy to paint.  I wanted to strike the balance between the yellow and metallic black armour and I knew straight away I wanted to have a black turret; the predators I have seen with black turrets look very striking.

The Imperial Fists have been over a year in the making but I'm up to around 3000 points now.  It won't be long before we can attempt to take on the perfidious IVth Legion!

Camouflage is for cowards

The paint scheme is the one I have used throughout:

• Averland Sunset basecoat, Tau Light Ochre shade from below (and in the recesses), and a Zenithal highlight of Yriel Yellow
• Abaddon black and Leadbelcher for the metallic black
• Abteilung 502's Oxide Patina for the rust streaks
• Armageddon dust for the tracks, a shade of Agrax earthshade and A spray of Steel Legion Drab for the dust / mud effect.
