With their fearsome Legatine axes, and unmatched close-combat skill the
Ultramrines' Suzerain Invictarii  squad make short shrift of the Traitors

With the first attempt by the Iron Warriors' 31st Grand Company to push their incursion deeper into the Spear of Konor repelled, the IVth Legion attempted a second incursion.  Two 15-strong Breacher Squads, a 10-strong tactical support unit armed with Volkite calivers and two units of Cataphractii terminators initially made good progress, wiping out or forcing into retreat all the Ultramarine tactical units they came across.

But then a 10-strong Suzerain Invictarus unit arrived from Reserve, and single-handedely turned the battle.  They made short work of the first unit of Cataphractii they encountered, their Legatine axes cutting through the Terminators' armour with ease.  The Invictarii charged the second unit of Cataphractii, shrugging off the overwatch fire, again cutting the Traitors to shreds.  By this point, the units of the IVth Legion were in total disarray, too close together to avoid the Suzerain Invictarii's next assault when they would have preferred to fire on the Ultramarines from afar.  The Invictarus Suzerain squad tore into the Iron Warriors' Volkite Caliver support squad, losing just one of their number to the overwatch fire.  After dispatching this unit, the Invictarii braved a hail of bolter fire from the nearest of the IVth Legion's Breacher squads, before charging into them.  Though they fought bravely, the Traitors stood no chance against the superlative skill and the Legatine axes of the Invictarii.  The battle was over. The Suzerain Invictarii had killed 10 Cataphractii and 25 tactical marines, losing only 3 of their number along the way.
